Oooh, interesting.

Not entirely sure why the twins weren't dx'ed BEFORE the threat of an ASBO though.

I mean here we all are with kids under 10 (apologies if I have made too wide a sweeping statement) and we have known from very early on that our kids are different and have fought tooth and nail (in most cases) for help, yet here are two young adults with no previous dx.

Maybe the report doesn't give the full story (they seldom, do after all) but can you imagine any of us allowing (willingly I mean) our kids to go out and cause chaos?

I have always been afraid that ASD's are going to be used as an excuse in the future for bad behaviour (especially conditions such as PDA) and I hope that this isn't the start. It just demeans everything that we as responsible and loving caring parents do every single day...

Ooooh, kick my soap box away someone!

Criticise me for being a bit opinionated but I don't trust those two. I think they're making it up.

I thought that too Paul and then i felt bad for thinking like that, i am unsure as to whether they have an ASD and they may be using it as a way out but thats my opinion.

People used to use ADHD in the same way though. It was becoming a blanket label for all children whether they genuinely had a problem or really were just little sods! ranting It's so unfair to the children/parents/carers who struggle with a disability, no matter what the type.

I worry that ASD's will be used in the same way...
