Threatened with a knife at school Empty
PostSubject: Threatened with a knife at school   Threatened with a knife at school Icon_minitime25/7/2007, 1:21 pm

were do I start..my poor son was threatened with a knife at school last week, the older child didnt actually have a weapon but smashed my son so hard in to the toilet wall..lifting his feet off the floor with his knuckles under my sons chin whilst telling him"im gunna kil you and put you in hospital, now we will go tell the teachers you fell over and NO-ONE SAW ANYTHING"
the head rung me telling me my son was very shaken&the police involved:x censored that night I had to take my son to A&E as he couldnt swallow/eat/could smell chlorine! and kept grabbing his ribs, hes got bruising soft tissue damage and anxiety:cry:
Ive had to have the police round twice since then as the same child was coming onto my front grass&still threatening my son
MY darling son has been having nightmares and is scared to go out..hes 8 years old:-zip:
then today my Key worker comes and Im offered a parenting course, yet as a single parent*ive done a BRILL JOB so far and done nothing wrong*
my son was on a good day and actually sat&coloured but was still swearing, climbing, flitting from one thing to another, she doubts I will get a dx IF any yet if I did it would be very very borderline ADHD
So i told her I dont appreciate being*observed* in my home as i find it intrusive,I was told "WE are here to help you, not judge you, as YOU CAME TO US COS U HAVE IDENTIFIED A PROBLEM IN THE FAMILY"
ERRR NOO,hang,on,I went to my doctor with concerns about my sons concentration/forgetfullness/hyperactivity¬ sleeeping, then I was assigned a key worker,
Im 34 years old and have been a single mum since the word GO,i dont need to be told HOW to praise my child!
theres a lot of the so called experts ways I DONT AGREE WITH eg "i say to my boys..please go brush your teeth"
then Im told by Key worker "NO,if you say please that gives them the option to think about the request..it should be "GO brush your teeth"
then my keyworker says if i said "You will go put the kettle on,what would you do?"
I told her" ID TELL YOU TO GET STUFFED&DO IT YOUR DAMN SELF,i always say please&thanks to my boys, cos if they come in and say "I WANT A DRINK" I;d say"I want a drink..what? she accepts I like manners but says Im missing the point:-zip: blahblah
Im well annoyed,so basically my sons short attention span/forgetfullness/jumping/climbing&having a *thing* about fire is all down to my parenting, yet Im tolD Ive been brill..well I know what they can do with their 10 week parenting course:explode:
rant over
love to all x

You know your child better than anyone & these so called professionals always find it easy to put everything down to lack of parenting skills. Keep fighting for your childs' rights & take no prisoners!! Good luck for the long road ahead but always stay focussed on the end goal. As for the bully it wouldn't surprise me if you have to move to get away from him cos the authorities seem so soft on them these days. xx explode

Bless u & ur son hugging hugging

I really feel for u i do hug

Im fed up to the back teeth with these people who DONT know our children to make such pathetic comments!!! Mad

We try our best! they make us feel like we want our kids to be this way, i have done star charts, naughty seat, time out etc, u name it ive done! they may work for a few days but then reality sets in.

I would fume also if anyone dared to tell me to do parenting courses! They dont know my child like me and they never will, we ask for help because we NEED it, its not bloody fun or easy to live our lives!

I have no faith whatsoever about the area i live in at the mo and due to that i am now moving to another area under a different LA & LEA, will things be any better? who knows?! but i have to at least try for Ts sake and i dont wanna be thinking in yrs to come, what if?

Stand ur ground and stand tall hun, keep making noise and keep documenting vital evidence, they dont like us parents knowing how to do things right but this shows the extent of our commitment and devotion to our children's health and well-being. Our kids need help NOW not pussy footing 'so called' professionalism!!!!!! Mad

Aww, I feel so angry for you, I really do.

Who the censored do these people think they are??

I have always made sure that Charlotte says please and thank you. It's polite. The little minx turns it round on me now and says "but you didn't say please" if I am rushing and she is playing the fool and not co-operating! doh

YOU are not the one missing the point, here.

How old is the child threatening your son? Can he be placed under a restraining order or ASBO or something?

I'm assuming the attack on him wasn't witnessed? If so what a brave little boy to have the courage to actually tell someone what had happened. My heart goes out to you both. love heart

I think it's good that you have a key worker. Especially one that can make such a positive diagnosis on your son. Think of the money the NHS can save now that they won't need specialist centres and paeds and SALT and OT and CAMHS and everyone else involved in a diagnosis. Just call Lolly's key worker, everyone. You can get a diagnosis for your child, made to feel a cr@p person AND lessons in how to ignore basic good manners all from the comfort of your own home. FANTASTIC. ranting

Your son is 8. For the last 8 years you have been doing the hardest job in the world and making a success of it. hail first trophy Without the interference/help/assistance of these busy-body nosey parkers. If you were going wrong, it would be YOUR son threatening someone else, not the other way round! (The irony here is that the parent who clearly needs the parenting course is the parent of this little thug who terrified your son).

Like Bambi said, stand tall and shout loud. WE know our kids inside out and back to front and we owe it to them to fight their corner.

Don't forget, we are always here for you to ranting at! hugging

Yea i have a great idea lets all just go around ordering our kids to do stuff and not saying please and thank you to them. Then wait for people to start saying how rude and demanding our kids are and what bad parents we must be,because our kids are so rude in fact why dont we just let our kids rule over us and order us about. (ps i am being sarcastic in this paragraph)

However in real life my son has always recieved lovely comments about his politeness ever since Nursery.

So called experts that think they know it all. Well i think they should try living in the real world and not never never land where everyone and everything is so happy and perfect.

To finish i just wana say grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

well I tell you hes f***d with the wrong ones here.il go about it the correct and grown up way,i dont need to make threats verbally(as this is what the'd expect!;0) fortunatly a little girl witnessed the assault and ran to get a teacher, ive also been round to thanks her parents&asked the headteacher if she can have an award or something from my son as a thankyou
mum2charlotte..you are correct..call Lollys keyworker if u need a diagnosis, obviously she knows best! after she left yesterday i was with my boys in tesco,J was climbing on the fridges and running away, calling me a child abuser:oh dear:
also today we had an out of school trip to a kids farm, j saw a lamb feeding&shouted"look its sucking its b*****s the dirty B******urrrghh the c*** sucker.even after the explaination of cows milk, goats milk, sheeps milk and MUMMYS milk:oh dear: so take notes on that then keyworker and also on the behaviour of the other children with ADHD/ASD on the trip..they were all alike, but I need a parenting course:explode:
you gotta laugh when your kids have these difficulties and we all did, speshly when 2 of them piped up"thats cows got bigger tits than you mum but you a*** is f**** fatter

PS:the boy in question WILL be arrested for harrassment, criminal damage and making threats to kill should he carry on with this behaviour, the police commented the boy in question says he is taunted by j..
WOOAH..hang on,then why does this boy insist on being on my front grass?
he lives on the opposite estate seperated by a main road over a footbridge,is 2 years older AND is known to the police, yet is taunted by my son who is not allowed off the front grass, except to a friends 5 doors down or to my parents(5 secs away) and when my son see's this boy he is a quivering wreck and comes in screaming"HE'S HERE,MUM HES GONNA GET ME,my son is still having nightmares and visoins and also says if he hears a voice like this boys,he SHAKES...so yeah my son is REALLY gonna taunt him!
the police have been good they have been to see this boy and*scared him* also told me told call it back in if this kid persists and he WILL be arrested under section 5(whatever this is).AND WHO NEEDS A PARENTING COURSE!hmm

[i]Lolly we had similar probs with a boy who lives down the road from us he's 4 years older than my Son and he kept on threatening to Kill my son anyways he was known to the police so we phoned the police everytime he did or said anything to our son.

Anyways a few weeks ago he started again he threw a stone at my son my Son then finally stood up to him and threw itt back (what a shame he missed) then the kid had the cheek to come up to my hubby and tell my hubby he should tell our Son of for throwing a stone at him. Hubby said after everything you have done to him NO CHANCE...anyways then he just went away.

That weekend though he came back up our road and started squirting a water pistol at our Son and then he even squirted it through my living room window. So we phoned the police and the local policelady came out and we've never had anymore bother with him since then.

But also more importantly she told us that if our son hits back at this kid then the police wont press charges against my son Wink

oops i also forgot to say that about 2 years ago he nearly got arrested for threatening my Son but mammy turned up so he just got sent home with her.

Seems to me that you cant do right for doing wrong blah.

Of course most parents have grabbed there kids to stop them from hurting themselves I know i have grabbed my kids.

Also of course we all set limits on our kids. I mean yea sure wouldnt social services love us if we all let our kids do stuff like make dinner for example at the age of 3 (im useing 3 as an examply by the way).

They are just stupid questions Lolly they asked you.
