OCD = Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

SPLD = Semantic and Pragmatic Language Disorder

PDA = Pathological Demand Avoidance Syndrome

BP = Bi-Polar

ADHD = Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

AS = Asperger Syndrome

ASD = Autistic Spectrum Disorder

HT = Head Teacher

TA = Teaching Assistant

LEA = Local Education Authority

LA = Local Authority

PP = Parent Partnership Service

EP = Educational Psychologist

Paed = Consultant Child Pediatrician

CAMHS = Child and Adult Mental Health Service

SW = Social Worker

ESW/EWO = Educational Social Worker/Educational Welfare Officer - name change recently in my area

SENCO = Special Educational Needs Coordinator - mainly the role of teacher's within school's

SaLT = Speech and Language Therapist

NAS = National Autistic Society
