Hi guys
Well to start with i wont be having a wkend to myself this wkend
due to Ts dad being ill (he has a cold/flu) so he is incapable of having T
so he will be having him next wkend and the weekend after that, i hope!
Ok down to business, i went online and started searching so hard and deep in regards to private assessments, i need these done for Ts sake so we know EXACTLY what the score is and to help with the tribunal we having coming up in Sept.
So i called this SALT i found (in West Yorkshire) and she said she didnt deal with kids like T (gave her a brief outline of the findings Nottingham have reported) BUT she said she knew a SALT who specialised with kids with Aspergers!
I called this other SALT (based in Wakefield) and we had a long chat, i told her what my LEA & LA have said in regards to Ts difficulties along with what Nottingham have found and reported. I explained i need my own private assessments so i have evidence to support Ts difficulties along with being able to produce this at the tribunal. It can only help our case (whether the LEA & LA like private assessments or not they are real and it will be in black & white as MY evidence).
So she is coming on Saturday 7th July to assess T in my home and she said she would come to me as it may be difficult with T to travel to her given his difficulties (how very true!). She will need to assess him for several hours and she will do a very detailed report given the situation i am in regarding the issues i told her, bless her!
Also i found a private Chartered Educational Psychologist who is based in my town! They are not that expensive (not what i expected) and i will be booking him once i have the funds, which will be before the tribunal also. They will assess him within the clinic and it will be several hours, then i will get a detailed report.
